7 effective ways to beat stress – Don't Worry, Be Happy Now!

With the kind of peer pressure these days It's normal to feel stressed, but there are easy ways to make yourself happier. Students have every reason to be happy but again this is an age of competition its either perform or perish. Students at the university level handle multiple situations, they are found to be doing part-time jobs with the university worry about assignments and stress about the future and how to make the next step. All these can take a toll on their health and can leave them with a great amount of stress.    

If you're not careful, working too hard and worrying too much can lead to "burnout" – when everything seems bleak and you have nothing left to give. But luckily, there are some effective ways to beat stress. Let’s find out.


1. A healthy diet can do the trick

Consuming a lot of fruit is really beneficial for health. Fruits have antioxidants that can flush out harmful microorganisms/bacteria and boost the immune system and so can help with stress reduction.


2. Workout

Doing sport at least once a week is the best way to reduce stress. It helps your body produce endorphins, which make you feel good. Even daily walks of 30 minutes can help reduce stress levels but it's even better to work out intensively. Even if you don't feel like it at the time you will feel the benefits afterward.


3. Try Meditating

Meditation for 10 minutes can really reduce your stress levels to a great extent. Good breathing techniques can put you in a more relaxed state as they send oxygen surging through your bloodstream. If you have never tried going for it, its worth it.


4. Take short breaks

If you are preparing for your exams take short breaks every now and then. Taking short breaks actually increase your attentiveness and makes you more focused while preparing for your exam. Once your exam gets over prepare to take a weekend off and relax. You will feel rejuvenated.


5. Sleep & disconnect social media

Sound sleep is always the best medicine; a quick nap can make you more productive its time and tested. As students, we tend to spend too much time on social media sites and answering emails, texts, and phone calls. Sociability is fun – but too much of it, and too much computer time can lead to more stress.


6. Music

Listening to good music always calm you down and puts you in a better frame of mind. Music is the food for the soul.


7. Laugh your heart out

Finally, you have one life live it charmingly. Do not lode an opportunity to laugh every now and then. Sit with friend’s crack jokes, watch a comedy movie. Laughter is a great stress buster.
